Had a really wonderful day Saturday July 22, 2023, at the Sutton Alpine Historical Society. Great weather. It was sunny and warm, and we had a lot of beautiful vehicles show up for the “Valley Trash” Show and Shine. I counted 53 vehicles there and several people told me there where a few more that came later that I missed. All in all, a really great car show. I don’t know how much the historical society raised for building maintenance, but I think they did pretty good. Seemed like a lot of people had burgers and dogs that they were serving for donations and the dessert auction seemed to have several 100-dollar bidders for cakes and pies. The 3 People’s Choice winners were new first-time winners at our car shows. Third place winner was a 1940 Ford, Second Place was a 1966 Chevelle and First Place was a 1970 Ford Truck “Beast”. This show is a much-loved show out here in the Valley and usually has a good showing. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped the Sutton Alpine Historical Society raise money for maintenance on their buildings.
