We had our Annual 9/11 Freedom Flag Run Memorial Car Show today Saturday September 5, 2026. Weather turned out pretty good even though the weather man kept saying it was going to rain all day. It was cloudy at times, but the sun shone also and the temperature was in the upper 60’s. There were around 10 vehicles that met up at Wasilla High School to decorate their vehicles and parade over to Alaska Raceway Park taking loops through the driveways of both Tranquility Manor and Maple Springs assisted living. The residents get great enjoyment looking out the windows at our beautiful vehicles. They all arrived at Alaska Raceway Park at Noon to start the car show off.
We had flags flying and patriotic music playing all afternoon. Exquisite Urban Tastes supplied their delicious food for us today and if you wanted some Red, White and Blue Apparel, Retro Babe Boutique was there to help you express your Patriotic flair.
It was really a nice show for the end of the season for us. We had 26 vehicles registered and there were a couple that came and went and didn’t sign in as always.
Our winners were 3rd Place People’s Choice 1955 International Harvester Truck, 2nd Place People’s Choice 1953 Packard and 1st Place People’s Choice a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.
