Yesterday Sunday July 12th we had our annual car show at Country Cutts in Palmer at Stans new location one mile from his old shop. Right past the Matanuska bridge. The weather was overcast and tried to stay that way but started to drizzle towards the end of the show. All in all we had a good turnout, we had 23 vehicles registered. Big Dipper Ice Cream was open for business, and The Lil Taco Bus was serving up their tasty fair. They have dining on the upper level of the bus so you can look out over the vehicles while you are enjoying your food. Stan had 5 trophies to award and gave the first 20 entries a $10.00 gift cards to “Big Dipper” Ice cream as well as hats on our swag table. The winners were Kids Choice 1969 Pontiac Firebird, Ladies Choice 1969 Chevy El Camino, Ghent’s Choice 1964 Studebakers Champ which the owner then re-awarded to a 1966 Corvair that is new to car shows, Drivers Choice 1972 Land Cruiser F-350 and People’s Choice 1955 Nash Metropolitan.
