Had a nice car show Saturday afternoon at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Palmer. The word of the day was WNDY, WINDY, WINDY. It was calm when I got there to set up around 10:00 and there were a few scattered clouds here and there, but the sun was out, and it was warm. Around noon the clouds rolled in, and it got very windy, and it really cooled down. The temperature was 54 but with the wind it was a lot cooler. Jane helped me at the table, and we were definitely chilly. Kept adding jackets and getting blankets. Glad we didn’t try to put up that canopy cover. That would have been a real disaster.
Exquisite Urban Tastes was the food truck for the day. We had around 30 cars register and of course there are always those who come and go but don’t register. We had visiting members from out of town. Chuck and Sandy are visiting, and we hope to see them at some more shows this summer. And we have a new member join the club. There were 7 Awards Given out. 1st Place Car 1970 Plymouth Valiant Duster, 2nd Place Car 1973 Chevy Camaro, 1st Place Truck 1979 F-150, 2nd Place Truck 1969 El Camino, O’Reilly Choice 1956 Chevy Pickup, Best in Show 1969 Camaro and People’s Choice was a 1915 Model T truck
