We had a nice car show at O’Reilly Auto Parts is Wasilla yesterday. We had a pretty good turnout considering the weather. There were 24 vehicles registered and 5 in the lot that didn’t sign in. I counted 29 vehicles participating in the show. It had rained all night and then stopped a few hours before the car show. We were clear during the show, but it started to sprinkle around 2:15 when voting ended and started to come down more when we awarded the trophies. Participation was pretty good too, again considering the weather. I gave out more than a hundred ballots. Alaska’s Best Gourmet Dogs was there with their delicious dogs and extended menu. And of course the O’Reilly Auto Parts employees were there with their outstanding service catering to all our needs. From changing out windshield wiper blades for us and selling parts, to helping set up our canopy. They are all great.
This week’s People’s Choice winners were 3rd place 1969 El Camino, 2nd Place 1979 F-150 4X4 and 1st Place 1955 Nash Metropolitan.
