The 49th State Street Rodders were asked in July to help out 2 organizations who wanted to have car shows. The first one was Presbyterian Hospitality House which is dedicated to creating a brighter safer future for Alaskan youth. It was on a Friday afternoon but several of our members showed up and showed off their vehicles. It was their first car show and they did a great job. They are an organization that we would love to help in any way we can. We told them that next year if they wanted we would put on the show for them and relieve them of some of the duties and responsibilities of putting on a car show. We are going to get together at a later date and arrange dates and what we can do to assist them.

The second organization that contacted us was Maple Springs Assisted Living. They wanted to put on a car show for their residents to have a fun day. We had 11 club members come out that Friday afternoon to show off their vehicles as well as a few vehicles invited by Maple Springs. Maple Springs made it a fun day for their residents and had a Popcorn and Cotton Candy Machine, everything to make it a carnival atmosphere. It was another beautify warm day, and everyone had a good time.
