The 49th State Street Rodders had a good show in Sutton yesterday (Saturday July 18th, 2026) at Sutton Alpine Historical Society’s “Valley Trash” Show & Shine Car Show. The weather looked like it wasn’t going to cooperate in the morning, but it never rained on us all through the show. It was overcast and the sun tried to peak out during the dessert auction. Didn’t quite make it but it tried. We had 24 vehicles registered. The historical society had hotdogs and hamburgers, and they made around twelve hundred dollars on the dessert auction. I don’t know if that included the donation for the hotdogs and hamburgers too. A special thank you to the auctioneer that did the dessert auction. He did a great job encouraging people to bid reminding them what it was for. The historical society is repairing and extending the walkways in the park. Our 3 winners for the car show were 3rd Place People’s Choice 1969 Chevy El Camino, 2nd Place People’s Choice 1914 Stutz Bearcat, 1st Place People’s Choice was a 1955 International Truck.
