Yesterday July 19th 2025 at the Sutton Alpine Historical Society the 49th State Street Rodders had their Annual “Valley Trash” Show & Shine Car Show and the Historical Society and their amazing volunteers had hamburgers and hotdogs for donation as well as their Annual Desert Auction Fund Drive. The Historical Society and car club members brought delicious desserts to be auctioned off to raise funds for maintenance to park buildings. The weather turned out warm and sunny, so the vehicles came out to celebrate the day. There were 42 vehicles registered, and I was told there were several drive troughs who thought there wasn’t enough space to park. All in all, it was a fun day in Sutton. There was a 3-way tie for the People’s Choice winner of the car show, so we wrote the 3 names down and a member of the historical society drew them out of the box. 3rd Place People’s Choice was a 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2nd Place People’s Choice was a 1935 Ford Pickup and 1st Place People’s Choice was a 1969 Chevelle.
