SUMMARY:Memorial Day Car Show Anchorage Corvette Association
DESCRIPTION:We finally have an update to our Memorial Day Car Show event on May 27\, 2024. It will be held at the Anchorage VA Medical Center at 1201 N Muldoon Rd. The event begins at 12 noon and ends at 4 pm. If folks would like to register their car for the car show\, Registration is from noon to 2:00pm for parking and staging. The registration ‘fee’ is 2 cans of non perishable food or 2 packages of non perishable items like diapers or tp. There will be activities for children\, food trucks\, and 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place People’s Choice awards. The Honor Flight will be there and there will be an Honor Guard ceremony as well as a booth for the Armed Services YMCA for food donations. The VA will also have a booth with information. We are hoping for NO RAIN and expecting a good turnout and a good time. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWe hope to see you there.

DESCRIPTION:“FREEDOM FLAG RUN”   \n\n\n\nWell\, it’s that time of year again for our annual 9/11 “Freedom Flag Run” Memorial Car Show.  This year we will be having the Mechanized Motorcycle Association joining us for this show.   Our show will run as usual with everyone meeting up at Wasilla High School around 9:30 AM and decorating their cars with flags and other memorabilia. Then around 11 AM they will cruise over to Alaska Raceway Park taking a detour along the way off of Bogard Road down Hemmer to drive through the parking lots of both Tranquility Manor Assisted Living and Maple Springs. Then back on to Bogard to come out to the racetrack for the Car Show from noon to 4:00PM. \n\n\n\nLast month Preacher\, the man who first got the motorcycle community involved with our “Freedom Flag Run” passed away and this show the Mechanized Motorcycle Association will be memorializing him.As with any of our bigger car shows pre-registration helps a lot in making the registration line move fast. Just email or DM me and let me know your name\, make\, model\, and year. If you are not a 49th State Street Rodders club member don’t forget a contact number. \n\n\n\nThis show we will be having 4 Trophies. Colony Way and Beyond from 5:00 to 9:00pm.  Exquisite Urban Tastes and Alaska’s Best Gourmet Dogs Food Trucks plan to be there to offer their delicious food.  Let’s hope that the weather this coming Saturday is as beautiful as it was this past Saturday but as all our shows it is “Rain or Shine” we will be there.  And remember you must be present to win so if you have a hot vehicle don’t duck out early.  I STRONGLY suggest that you pre-register.  If the weather is beautiful\, we could have up to 100 vehicles and the line gets long at check in.  Just message or email me the Make/Model\, Year and any information you want on the card for the public to know about your vehicle.  If you don’t want anyone to vote on your vehicle\, that’s fine\, just let me know and I will not give you a vehicle tag\, but you must register to show your vehicle.  Here’s to a gorgeous night in downtown Palmer with the streets lined with beautiful vehicles and people enjoying themselves on a “Hot Summer Nights.”
